Chemical Peel

Chemical Peel

Chemical peels come in different types and strengths. Some of the more common peels include salycilic acid, glycolic acid, and trichloroacetic acid.  Chemical peels are often performed to improve the overall texture and evenness of the skin. Some peels even help reduce acne and overall oiliness of the skin.

Chemical peels work by removing the outermost layer of skin. The depth of the skin removed depends on the strength and type of the peel.  Superficial peels are most commonly performed because of the better safety profile.

Chemical peels should be performed routinely for the best results.
